There is no doubt about it: Social life in Ireland takes place in – you guess it- a pub. As you can see: the big institution Guinness is challenged by Smithwicks – THE ale in Ireland (author´s opinion…). Hard to say who will win this eternal fight between the mighty one from Dublin and the underdog from Kilkenny. By the way: Smithwicks was born in 1710 and Guinness in 1756 – so there is plenty of experience present – particularly in tight holding games like this one…
