Extreme backgammon is proud to present a new addition to our carefully selected crew. Matt "Gin Fizz" Smee is joining the exclusive circle of extreme backgammon enthusiasts. You are about to witness his first steps in the extreme backgammon world - and I can tell you that much more is to come! But first things first - Matt's turning point is about to come...
But he had to wait a little while for his first match - maybe he was a bit too excited to challenge everybody coming along - that didn't quite work out as you can see here...
But of course oolong was feeling the fever inside Matt - he had to lose his extreme backgammon virginity right now or he would fall into pieces - so oolong stepped in!

So Matt gave his debut match playing oolong. As a rookie he was excited, motivated and really pushing for a win. Usually that's a bit too much since you are likely to mess it up - you just want too much too fast. On the contrary you should not be too confident and take a rookie too lightly - but that is exactly what happened to oolong. Once he realized that that guy Gin Smee might be the new shining xbg star - it simply was too late. He survived the Crawford match but Matt eventually deserved the victory brought home with a solid performace - well done!

As a true champion you have to recover from unexpected defeats. oolong - slightly irritated though - challenged Matt again right away - knowing that he won't underestimate him again. Additionally he dialed the extremeness level up a bit - also knowing that Matt will have a hard time keeping up the necessary focus and concentration in his early stages of an nevertheless promising extreme backgammon career. It was once again an exciting match, but oolong won the game with his routine and skill. A relatively unspectacular but very wet 5-2.
oolong was in full swing after his clear victory. Matt on the other hand was mentally and physically exhausted and had to take a little break after two tough matches. Luckily the local crowd was interested in joining oolong for another match.

Being interested spectators for a while the local kids made it very clear that they were interested to play oolong on their homeground. The kids were tough opponents with their unconventional style and rules. But oolong played it cool and took another win home.
